DHAKA: Opposition leader Begum Raushan Ershad appointed Selim Uddin, a lawmaker of Jatiya Party (JP) from Sylhet-2 constituency, as the party’s whip of the 10th Jatiya Sangsad.

A press release signed by Raushan’s JS office information and public relations M Mamun Hasan was issued on the matter at the night.

Selim, who is JP central joint secretary, has been made the whip to make parliamentary activities smooth and functioning more, it adds.

Selim is also the president of JP Sylhet district unit.
