Blockade to continue, says Rizvi

DHAKA: BNP joint secretary general Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed on Friday announced that the enduring countrywide blockade will continue during the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations.

Rizvi, in a statement, made the announcement in response to requests from different quarters, including ministers, lawmakers, businesspeople, about withdrawing ongoing indefinite blockade ahead of the SSC and equivalent examinations.

He further said, “Ruling Awami League government that has assumed power illegally is the reason of peoples’ sufferings. Country will become peaceful and stable if the government steps down.”

He also said considering the 15 lakhs candidates of SSC and equivalent examinations, education minister has urged to withdraw blockade but he did not think about 16 crores people of the country.
