FENI: Law enforcers detained three BNP leaders from a pro-hartal procession brought out on Monday noon in Phulgazi upazila sadar in the district.

The detainees include upazila BNP general secretary Nur Nabi Master, Jubo Dal convener M Swapon and Chhatra Dal president Kamal Hossain.

Sources told banglanews that they were detained around 2:00pm.

Police stopped the procession, starting from Phulgazi Bazar, in front of women’s college and nabbed the leaders, sources added.

However, Phulgazi Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Harun-or-Rashid confirmed the detention.
