Govt to bring back fugitive Bangabandhu killers: Quamrul

DHAKA: State Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Advocate Quamrul Islam Saturday said the fugitive killers of Bangabandhu would be brought back to execute the court verdict against them.

"A committee has already been formed to bring back the fugitives and the government is tiring heart and soul in this regard," said the Awami League leader.

He made the comment while addressing a prize-giving ceremony of an inter-hall henna competition jointly organized by Amra Dhakabashi and Biswa Kala Kendra at the TSC of Dhaka University.

He also alleged the defeated forces of the liberation war in 1971 brutally killed Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman along with his family in 1975.

General Secretary of Biswa Kala Kendra and Registrar of Dhaka University Syed Rezaur Rahman and Director-General of the Directorate of Youth Development Azizur Rahman, among others, also attended the programme.
