DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Monday put her cabinet colleagues on the alert about ‘subversive acts’ of the opposition under cover of anti-government movement.
“Democratic movement of the opposition is no problem for the government. But everybody has to be alert so that the opposition couldn’t create anarchy in the country in the name of movement,” she said.
Sheikh Hasina made the observations at the regular cabinet meeting she presided over in the cabinet room at the secretariat.
Underscoring the necessity of publicity about good deeds of the government, the Prime Minister said the law-and-order situation during the holy Ramadan was well and prices of essentials were within the purchasing capacity of the commoners.
“But there is no publicity of this good work,” she added.
Sheikh Hasina called upon everybody to make known to the people the achievements of the government.
