PM visits Ashulia in afternoon

ASHULIA (DHAKA): Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also ruling Awami League president, is scheduled to visit Ashulia, on outskirts of the capital, on Sunday afternoon.

Sources said the premier will lay a foundation stone of 12-storied building for female workers. Later, she will address a rally at in Ashulia School and College playground around 3:00pm.

Meanwhile, Hasina is likely to seek vote for Savar-Ashulia (Dhaka-19) constituency in upcoming general election.

Centering the Primer’s visit, security measures have been beefed up in the area.

District Police Super Habibur Rahman told banglanews, “Five-tier security measures have been taken by police administration. Two thousands police men, detectives have been deployed in the area.”

A helipad was set up at Anwar Jong College ground to land the helicopter carrying the prime minister.
