SYLHET: Finance Minister AMA Muhith on Saturday announced to take part in the next general elections from the Constituency Sylhet-1.

The senior leader of ruling Awami League came up with the disclosure while talking to journalists after inauguration of extension work of Sylhet Kendrio Shaheed Minar and renovation of Kobi Nazrul Auditorium in the afternoon.

During the time, he asked to finish the tasks of Shaheed Minar by December 16.

He is scheduled to attend a boat race ceremony to be held in Surma River at 4.00pm.

Earlier in the day, the minister landed at Osmani International Airport, Sylhet at 1.00pm.
