DHAKA: Opposition BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Monday categorically said party’s chairperson Khaleda Zia would present a framework of non-party government before the nation soon.
The spokesperson for the party came up with the disclosure while addressing a seminar titled ‘non-party/interim government, corruption and law and order situation’ at Members’ Club in the Parliament.
Mirza Fakhrul said, “It is the proposal of BNP, it is decision of parliamentary caucus. The decision will be taken after discussing the matter in party forum.”
He added: “It is regretful that after 42 years of independence. We could not find out a peaceful way to hand over power. It’s shameful for us too.”
The senior leader of the party also alleged that attack came on rule of law during rein of Awami League.
The seminar was also addressed, among others, by Rehana Akter Ranu MP, Shammi Akter MP and Syeda Asifa Ashrafi Papia.
