DHAKA: BNP has started distributing leaflets across the country, including the capital, demanding the unconditional release of the party Chairperson Khaleda Zia from jail.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir launched the program by distributing leaflets in city’s Naya Paltan area on Sunday (April 1).

The other BNP leaders took the lead in different areas of the city. 

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia landed in jail on February 8 after a Dhaka special court had sentenced her to five years' rigorous imprisonment in Zia Orphanage Trust graft case.
