FROM HOUSE: Expressing satisfaction over the Quader Mollah verdict, parliamentary committee on Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry put emphasis on the immediate execution of the verdict.

The suggestion came from a meeting of the body on Tuesday. Lawmaker Fazle Rabbi Mia presided over the meeting.

Advocate Rahmat Ali, Khan Tipu Sultan and Nurul Islam Sujan were present, among others, in the meeting.

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Barrister Shafique Ahmed was also present.

Besides, the committee took various decisions in the meeting.

Earlier in the day, the Appellate division of the Supreme Court sentenced Jamaat leader Abdul Quader Mollah to death for committing crimes against humanity during liberation war in 1971.
