SK Sinha wrote fiction out of agony: Quader

DHAKA: Referring to a book written by former Chief Justice SK Sinha, Ruling Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said Sinha wrote a fictitious book out of anguish of ‘being a former Chief Justice’.

Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, made the reaction to reporters before a meeting at AL central office with party leaders of Pirojpur district unit on Thursday (Sept 20).

While responding to Sinha’s book, Quader questioned, “Why did not you (Sinha) have the courage to say the things you wrote in the book at that time? Why say it now? Your words are false and have no credibility.”

The former Chief Justice Sinha, who is currently staying in the US, wrote an autobiographical book titled ‘A Broken Dream: Rule of Law, Human Rights and Democracy’. The book is available in online marketplace Amazon.

In the book, Sinha claimed that the government forced him to resign from Chief Justice post and leave country.
