DHAKA: BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said a total of 4,182 cases were lodged between September 1 and October 12 accusing 3,66,578 leaders and activists of BNP and its front organizations across the country.

The senior BNP leader made the claim at a press briefing in its Naya Paltan party office on Saturday noon (October 13).

Condemning the detention of BNP men, Rizvi said a total of 4,976 BNP leaders and activists were detained in fictitious cases. He also demanded immediate release of the detained party men withdrawing such cases.
