DHAKA: The BNP-led 20-party alliance on Sunday demanded the reshuffle of all Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and Superintendents of Police (SPs) ahead of the 11th national polls.    

He said: "We have 13-point demands including transfer of all the DCs and SPs to other districts from their existing workplaces." 

Col (retd) Oli Ahmed briefed the reporters after a meeting between a 20-party alliance delegation and election commissioner Rafiqul Islam at EC Building in the city.

They also demanded removal of controversial officials from election duties.

Mentioning that BNP leaders and activists and their possible election agents are being arrested, he said, "We asked them to arrest none till December 30."

"The Election Commission, however, termed our demands reasonable and effective to hold a fair elections,” said Oli Ahmed, also President of Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), a component of the 20-party alliance.
