Oikyafront tries to make polls ‘questionable’: AL Jahangir Kabir Nanak briefs media

DHAKA: Awami League Joint General Secretary Jahangir Kabir Nanak said the opposition alliance Oikyafront is making ill attempts to make the upcoming elections questionable sensing their ‘absolute defeat’ in it.

“BNP and Oikyafront are carrying out attacks and anarchies among themselves and trying to gather sympathy by making the government scapegoat. It is contradictory to fair, flawless and impartial polls,” he said.

Nanak was briefing journalists at Awami League President’s political office in Dhanmondi on Saturday (Dec 15).

Terming Oikyafront the platform of Jamaat and anti-liberation forces, Nanak urged them to cooperate with the Election Commission (EC) rather than not indulging in chaos and falsehood.

Several other Awami League leaders including Joint General Secretary Abdur Rahman, Organizing Secretaries Ahmad Hossaina and AFM Bahauddin Nasim were present.
