DHAKA:  Awami League candidate for Dhaka-3 constituency Nasrul Hamid Bipu visited opposition (BNP) candidate for the same constituency Goyeshwar Chandra Roy, who was injured in an attack. 

Bipu and Keraniganj upazila Chairman Shahin Ahmed went to Goyeshwar’s Nayapaltan political office around 11:30 am on Wednesday (December 26).

"Bipu expressed his sorrow over the attack and stayed for an hour," BNP's co-organizing secretary Abdus Salam Azad told Banglanews.

Goyeshwar Chandra Roy, BNP candidate from Dhaka-3 constituency, and 25 others became injured in an alleged attack while campaigning in Keraniganj on Tuesday (December 25).

After the attack, eight stitches were given to him at Islami Bank Hospital. Now, he is taking rest at his Nayapaltan political office.
