DHAKA: BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said the government left no stone unturned to spoil the 'fresh image' of BNP Senior Vice Chairman Tarique Rahman.

"They (the government) are running hyper propaganda against Zia family, by some of their loyal and 'paid media' and moreover using the courts," he added.  

Rizvi was addressing media at BNP Central Party Office in Nayapaltan on Saturday (April 20) noon.

Referring recent newspaper reports on freezing Tarique Rahman and his wife Zobaida Rahman's UK bank accounts, Rizvi said the court has issued the order upon government's instruction to Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The ruling government raised politically-motivated and false allegations against Tarique out of fear, he added.
