DHAKA: Eminent human rights activist and advisor to the former caretaker government Sultana Kamal received a death threat from an anonymous source.
In this regard, she filed a General Diary (GD) with Dhanmondi Police Station Saturday (May 4).
Dhanmondi Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Latif confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
The threat, from an anonymous source, was posted on a website, he said.
"The matter is being investigated after accepting the GD. A team of patrol police has been directed to carry out surveillance on her residence," he added.
However, in March, Sultana Kamal's name was mentioned as a target in an online magazine named 'Lone Wolf'.
