DHAKA: Advocate Shimul Biswas, special assistant to convicted BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, was admitted to Moghbazar Community Medical College Hospital Wednesday (May 8) night.

His personal assistant Enam Ahmed confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

On Saturday (May 4) noon, Shimul was released from Narsingdi district prison after the court had granted him bail. 

He stayed behind the bars for nearly three months.

On February 26, the court sent him to jail after showing him arrested in a case filed with Ramna Police Station on charge of sabotage.

On Tuesday (May 7), Shimul took part in the iftar party arranged by BNP for orphans and alem-ulema (Islamic scholars) in Dhaka.

Physicians on Wednesday advised him to be hospitalized after conducting check-up of his health condition, at the same hospital.
