DHAKA: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader is scheduled to return home from Singapore Wednesday (May 15).
Bridges Division Public Relations Officer Sheikh Walid Foyez, who is now in Singapore, has confirmed the matter to Banglanews Sunday (May 12).
"Sir (Quader) can now walk normally and does physical exercise regularly. He is returning home upon instruction by the physicians," Walid said.
Walid further said that Obaidul Quader will arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by flight BG085 of Biman Bangladesh Airlines around 6pm on May 15.
Obaidul Quader, general secretary of ruling Awami League, was flown to Singapore for treatment on March 4 after he had suffered respiratory problems.
He underwent a bypass surgery at Mount Elizabeth Hospital on March 20.
The hospital released him on April 5.
