BCL leader Mortuza murder verdict deferred

CHATTOGRAM: A court here has deferred to June 20 the verdict in Chittagong University (CU) unit Bangladesh Chhatra Legaue leader Ali Mortuza murder case.

The verdict was scheduled to be delivered at the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Mohammad Nazrul Islam Tuesday (May 28).  

Advocate Ibrahim Hossain Chowdhury Babul, lawyer of the plaintiff, told Banglanews that the verdict has been delayed as its full version wasn't prepared.

CU BCL unit senior vice president Ali Mortuza was killed by a brash fire in Chhorarkul of Hathazari, on December 29, 2001. 

The deceased's elder brother Naser Chowdhury filed a case with Hathazari Police Station the next day accusing eight persons.
