DHAKA:  BNP standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury demanded release of its Chairperson Khaleda Zia before Eid-ul-Fitr and re-election of national parliament after the Eid. 

The demands were put forward at a discussion and a dua mahfil marking the 38th death anniversary of late former president Ziaur Rahman and wishing health recovery of Khaleda Zia at National Press Club on Sunday (June 2).

Amir Khasru said, “The currently government unjustly imprisoned Khaleda Zia. So free her. The 11th national election is a stolen one. Arrange a reelection canceling the current one after Eid. Establish democracy in the country. Give folks’ their democracy back.”
