DHAKA: BNP allocated its party election symbol ‘Sheaf of Paddy’ for GM Siraj to contest by-election to Bogura-6 parliamentary seat.
Siraj, also BNP’s Bogura district unit convener, received the letter on Sunday (June 2).
GM Siraj told Banglanews that BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir had handed him the letter at chairperson’s office on Sunday afternoon.
He added that he would take party symbol ‘Sheaf of Paddy’ after submitting the letter to Bogura returning officer on Monday (June 3).
The by-polls to the Bogura-6 constituency will be held on June 24, as per directive of Election Commission.
