Hasina leaves Saudi Arabia for Finland

SAUDI ARABIA: Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left Saudi Arabia early morning for Finland, the third and final destination of her tri-nation visit.

A flight of Lufthansa Air carrying the prime minister and her entourage members departed from King Abdul Aziz International Airport, Jeddah at 1.25am (local time).

The flight is scheduled to land at Helsinki International Airport, Finland at 1pm (local time) Monday (June 3) after a nearly four-hour stopover at Frankfurt International Airport in Germany.

During her stay in Finland, Sheikh Hasina will have a meeting with Finnish President Sauli Niinisto on June 4.

On May 28, the premier left Dhaka for Japan, the first destination of her tri-nation visit.

Later on May 31, she left Japan for Saudi Arabia to attend the 14th OIC Summit 2019 held in Makkah.

During her three-day stay in Saudi Arabia, Hasina attended the 14th session of the OIC’s Islamic Summit in Makkah, performed the holy Umrah in Makkah and offered Ziarat at the Rawza Mubarak of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) in Madina.

PM Sheikh Hasina is expected to leave Finland to reach Dhaka on June 8.
