DHAKA: Japanese version of historic 7th March speech delivered by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has been published in Tokyo in Japan.
The Embassy of Bangladesh, Tokyo has released the booklet of the speech.
The historical speech is translated in Japan as the first foreign language other than English.
According to press release of Embassy of Bangladesh, Tokyo, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, during her visit to Japan on May 29, held a roundtable meeting with top businessmen of Japan and here she launched and unwrapped the booklet of Japanese edition of 7th March speech.
Later, the booklet has been distributed among the Japanese businessmen.
The speech delivered at the then Race Course Maidan (currently Suhrawardy Udyan) encouraged the Bengalis to start their nine-month long bloody struggle for freedom.
7th March speech is the proof of political wisdom and foresight of Bangabandhu. The booklet will be distributed to different educational institutions and important offices in Japan to highlight the words of this speech to the Japanese.
'Unfinished Memoir' of Bangabandhu and a graphic novel 'Mujib' were also translated into Japanese as the first foreign language after English.
Sheikh Rehana, younger daughter of Bangabandhu, and Akie Abe, the First Lady of Japan, launched the graphic novel ‘Mujib’ in November 2018.
