DHAKA: Ruling Awami League announced month-long programs to celebrate its 70th founding anniversary. 

General Secretary Obaidul Quader made the announcement at Awami League Central Office at Bangabandhu Avenue around 11am Tuesday (June 11).

The party will hoist its flag along with the national flag at its all offices across the country and pay tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on June 23.

Root level veteran leaders of the party will be honored at a ceremony at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) June 24. 

Cultural programs will be held at the party central office, Hatirjheel Lake and Rabindra Sarobor on June 25. 

Awami League central and Dhaka city units' leaders and mayors of Dhaka city corporations accompanied Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader during the announcement.
