Mustafizur Rahman Out of CSK vs SRH Clash

Mustafizur Rahman returned to Bangladesh from India on Tuesday to complete visa procedures for the USA, one of the co-hosts of the 2024 T20 World Cup as per The Daily Star. This unexpected development throws a wrench into CSK’s plans, as Mustafizur has been their bowling spearhead.

Purple Cap Holder Absent

Currently holding the coveted IPL “Purple Cap” for the highest number of wickets, Mustafizur Rahman has been in stellar form for CSK. He has bagged an impressive seven wickets in just three matches, playing a pivotal role in the team’s early success.

Expected Return and Next Match Availability

Although missing the SRH match, Mustafizur is expected to return to India next week. According to Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) sources, he is likely to be available for CSK’s match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) scheduled for April 8th.

CSK Bowling Attack Faces Test

Mustafizur’s absence presents a challenge for CSK’s bowling attack. The team will need to find a suitable replacement to fill the void left by his absence and maintain their winning momentum. The SRH clash will be a test for CSK’s bowling depth, with the onus falling on the remaining bowlers to step up and deliver.
