DU teacher suspended for marks tempering

DU: Authorities of Dhaka University has suspended temporarily Mohammad Ajharul Islam, Assistant professor of Law Department, for alleged involvement in tempering marks.

The decision came at a syndicate meeting held Tuesday night, said DU Vice-Chancellor and also Syndicate president Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique.

As the allegation was primarily proved against him, he has been suspended, he added.

A five-member probe committee, headed by pro-vice chancellor (admin) was formed for detail investigation into the matter. 

The VC further said the teacher will be suspended permanently if the allegation against him was finally proved.
