FROM SUST: Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) vice-chancellor Professor Aminul Haque Bhuiyan sought assistance from the university’s protesting teachers.

Seeking cooperation Bhuaiyan hoped the protesting teachers will definitely be back to their works soon to maintain healthy environment for education on the campus.

He added like Dr Zafar Iqbal many other teachers have contributed a lot for the university and for SUST they are inevitable.

About the acceptance of their resignation the VC said, there is no need for movement rather he will take action after talking with each of them individually.

“We don’t need any specific time frame to resolve the incumbent crisis. We may sit for negotiation any time but if it is prolonged then university will be the looser,” he further said.

Professor Rashed Talukder, Rezai Karim Khandoker, Dr Akhtarul Islam and Dr Zakir Hossain, among others, were also present at press meet.
