Medical, dental entry tests held

DHAKA: The one-hour entry tests at 22 government medical colleges and one dental college centers were held on Friday amid rumour of question paper leak.

The 100-mark MCQ test for 2015-16 academic year started at 10:00am and continued till 11 am.

Altogether 84,784 candidates applied for seats this time where 23 are fighting for each seat.

Health Minister Mohammed Nasim inspected a exam dcenter located at Dhaka University area around 10:00am.



Health Directorate sources said that this time, 22 government medical colleges, on dental college and eight dental units are offering 3,744 seats, while 6,355 students will be able to study in 65 private medicals and 24 dental colleges.

On September 13, the Ministry of Health ordered closure of all medical admission coaching centres in a bid to prevent any rumours of question paper leakage.

Mobile phones, calculators, and wrist watches, too, were banned in exam centres to prevent 'cheating'.
