DHAKA: An online portal, www.edutubebd.com, for sharing contents related to education was inaugurated by the education minister Nurul Islam Nahid at a city hotel on Tuesday (March 29).

Ethics Advanced Technology Limited (EATL) opened the portal so that both teachers and students can get information from one place quickly.

EATL authorities said student of any level can upload and share all kinds of educational materials on the web portal.

Anyone can subscribe those materials freely by opening an account here.

Teachers, students and guardians can download contents by logging in the site, they added.

There will be practice tools for students on youtube alongside lectures.

Teachers will have separate networks where they can upload lectures.

Uploaded contents will be available after 24 hours of uploading.

Lauding the approach, the minister said this will make things easier for students.

He, however, warned all saying technology has to be used carefully otherwise it will decrease mental capabilities.

State minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak pledged to provide multimedia classrooms in all schools along with internet connections by 2021.

He also put emphasis on uploading quality contents.

Asia Pacific University vice-chancellor Professor Dr Zamilur Reza Chowdhury also put emphasis on maintaining quality contents and system to rating those.

PMO director general-II Neelufar Ahmed, EATL managing director MA Mubin Khan also addressed the program.
