IUB welcomes Bangla New Year in Festivity 

DHAKA: Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) celebrated Pahela Baisakh, the first day of the Bangla calendar 1423, on 14 April 2016 at IUB campus in Bashundhara, Dhaka. 

The disclosure came through a press release on Friday. 

The campus was adorned with different colors which gave the celebration a festive appearance. 

IUB students did wonderful paintings in front of IUB entrance gate. For the celebration, Division of Student Affairs (DoSA) organized cultural programs and Baisakhi Fair. 

The Vice Chancellor Prof. M. Omar Rahman was the chief guest of the event. 

He gave his well-wishing welcome speech to the audience at the very beginning of the program. A large number of crowds made the event successful. 

IUB students made the cultural program so flourishing with their elegant performance of recitations, songs, and dances. Some bands of IUB also performed with different choral.
