RAJSHAHI: Rajshahi University (RU) teachers have boycotted classes and examinations for 2 days from Apr 24 protesting Professor Dr Rezaul Karim Siddique murder.

RU teachers’ association leader Professor Shah Azam Shantonu made the announcement after a meeting with others teachers on Saturday night. 

Along with the strike, they will also stage protest rally demanding arrest and exemplary punishment of the culprits.

Professor Rezaul Karim Siddique, 58, was hacked from behind with machetes as he walked to the bus station from his home in Shalbagan area of the city. He taught English at Rajshahi University.
