Bangladesh today confirmed 36 more deaths from coronavirus (COVID-19) infection in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll to 5,129. 

According to the Health authorities, 1,106 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours raising the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 357,873.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has made the update of the country’s coronavirus situation issuing a press release this afternoon.

As 1,753 patients have recovered in last 24 hours, the number of total recovery reached 268,777, it also said.

A total of 18,98,775 samples have been tested so far as 10,765 samples tested in 93 coronavirus testing laboratories across the country in last 24 hours, the release added.

Bangladesh reported its first croronaviurs case on March 8 while first death on March 18.
