Bangladesh today confirmed 22 deaths from the coronavirus (COVID-19) infection in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll to 7,803. 

According to the Health authorities, 849 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours raising the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 523,302.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed the update of the country’s coronavirus situation issuing a press release this afternoon.

As 917 patients have recovered in last 24 hours, the number of total recoveries reached 467,718, it also said.

A total of 3,371,416 samples have been tested so far with 14,097 samples tested in 193 coronavirus testing laboratories across the country in last 24 hours, the release added. 

Bangladesh reported its first Coronavirus case on March 8 while first death on March 18 in last year.
