JAHAGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY: A section of teachers of Jahangirnagar University started sit-in demonstration at the residence of vice-chancellor professor Anwar Hossain demanding his resignation.

Earlier, the protesting teachers went to VC’s residence at around 10:00pm Sunday and demanded his explanation for sending secret letter to president of teachers’ association, not re-appointing the two provosts and not giving ambulance to a protesting syndicate member.

Meanwhile, Vice-Chancellor Dr Anwar Hossain told the teachers that he won’t say anything regarding the matters and went into his residence.

Later, teachers took position in the VC’s residence compound.
