DHAKA: A girl was found dead and police recovered her body from a drain at Uttara Section-4 in the city on Sunday.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Uttara Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Jakir Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said, “On information, police rushed to the spot and found the body in a drain with several spots of abrasion at her neck and chest.”

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, he said.
