Polls-time ministers’ take oath

DHAKA: A new cabinet of the polls-time all-party interim government has been formed to oversee the 10th parliamentary elections in line with the constitution.

President M Abdul Hamid administered the oath to the new ministers of the cabinet around 3:07pm on Monday afternoon.

The new ministers are Awami League Advisory Council Members Amir Hossain Amu and Tofail Ahmed, Workers Party of Bangladesh President Rashed Khan Menon, Jatiya Party Presidium Members Rowshan Ershad, Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud and Secretary General Ruhul Amin Hawlader.

Besides, the state ministers are Mujibul Haque Chunnu and Salma Islam.

Cabinet Secretary M Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan conducted the oath-taking ceremony at Bangabhaban.

The portfolio of the new ministers and state ministers would be distributed soon.
