KUSTIA:  Rail services on Khulna- Ishwardy route halted for three and half an hours on Wednesday morning after a collision between goods-laden train and a Truck in BGB rail crossing area at Mirpur of the district.

Mirpur rail station master Mir Israil Hossain told banglanews that a salt carrying truck was out of service in BGB rail crossing area and the goods- laden train coming from Khulna hit the truck at around 6:00am, leaving the truck driver and helper injured.

Later, the railway authority managed to clear the route and train service resumed at 9:30am.
