DHAKA: An adolescent was killed in a road accident at Abdullapur in Uttara in the capital on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway on Tuesday night.

The deceased was identified as Nuruzzaman, 12, son of Imran Ali hailed from Palash upazila of Narsingdhi district.

Uttara West Thana Sub-Inspector Shahidul Islam said a pick up van knocked Nuruzzaman down while he was crossing the road.

On Wednesday morning, police recovered the body and sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, he added.
