DHAKA: Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman HM Ershad and Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pankaj Saran held a meeting at Ershad’s Baridhara residence on Wednesday afternoon.

JP Presidium Member Ziauddin Bablu, also recently appointed advisor to the Prime Minister, told the journalists that it was only a courtesy call.

But another competent source said that they discussed over the prevailing political situation and JP position about the next general elections.
