2 JSS leaders among 3 shot dead

RANGAMATI: Three people, including Jana Sanghati Samity (JSS) Baghaichhori upazila unit president and organizing secretary, were shot dead allegedly by United People`s Democratic Front (UPDF) men in the district on Thursday morning.

The deceased were identified as Shashank Chkma Pritish, president of Jana Sanghati Samity (JSS)’s Baghaichhori upazila unit, Nonda Bikash Chakma, organizing secretary of JSS and Juthisthir Chakma, a local.
JSS spokesman Sajib Chakma said a gang of armed miscreants of UPDF fired shots at the three victims in the area at about 7:30am while they were gossiping at a tea stall, leaving all of them dead on the spot.
Denying the allegation, Sonamoni Chakma, spokesman of the UPDF, claimed that they might have been killed due to previous dispute between two JSS factions.

Confirming the incident, Rangamati police super Amena Begum said we come to know that the victims are leaders of Jana Sanghati Samity (JSS).
