New FM Mahmud takes office

DHAKA: New Foreign Minister Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali took office on Friday morning.

The minister entered the foreign ministry by a car with national flag at around 10:00am.

Senior officers and foreign secretary welcomed him to the ministry.

Earlier, Abul Ahsan Mahmud Ali was minister for disaster and relief.

On Thursday, former foreign minister Dipu Moni was given a farewell by the ministry officials.
