MADARIPUR: At least three people were killed and seven others injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Barishal highway near Kalibari area at Rajair upazila under the district on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Nazrul, 27, Jalal, 30, and Akhter, 30, hails from Rajair upazila.

Of the injured, two were rushed to Faridpur Medical College Hospital and the others were admitted to nearby clinics.
 
Witnesses said that an eclectic pole laden truck collided head on with a human hauler near Kalibari area on Dhaka-Chittagong highway around 6:45pm, leaving three people died on the spot and seven others injured.

Officer-in-Charge of Rajair Thana M Muniruzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
