CHITTAGONG: Customs and duty officials of Shah Amanat Airport in Chittagong seized 60 gold bars, weighing seven kilograms, from the cabin of a national carrier from that came from Dubai on Tuesday morning.
Assistant Commissioner of Chittagong customs Moshiur Rahman Mandal told banglanews that, at around 10:30am Tuesday, they recovered 60 gold bars, which were wrapped up in a hand luggage, from the passenger cabin of the flight BG-026.
Market price of the bars is about Tk3 crore, he added.
Seized bars will be deposited to the government treasury, he added.
