PM`s five advisers resign

DHAKA: Five advisers of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who were appointed five years ago, resigned on Tuesday.

The advisors are HT Imam, Towfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, Moshiur Rahman, Dr Alauddin Ahmed and Dr Syed Modasser Ali.

They submitted their resignation letters to the prime minister on Tuesday afternoon.

The move came amid growing criticism over the number of the advisers –11 till Monday—in the polls-time interim government.

Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad confirmed the matter to banglanews.
