SYLHET: Noted writer, popular columnist and educator Professor Muhammad Zafar Iqbal resigned from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST).

He submitted resignation letter to vice-chancellor Dr Aminul Haque from his post of professor of Department of Electrical and Electrical Engineering.

Joynal Abedin, personal officer of Zafar Iqbal confirmed the matter to banglanews.

In the resignation letter the eminent writer mentioned that he felt embarrassing as university authority postponed cluster admission test system.

On the other hand, hearing the news hundreds students of the university started staging protest.
