DHAKA: A woman succumbed to her injuries, which sustained during the first day’s violence of the 48-hour blockade, at Dhaka Medical College Hospital early Wednesday.

Anwara Begum, 40, a staff of National Bank Malibagh branch, was injured when a crude bomb hurled by picketers hit her head on her way back to home near Tilpara in city’s Khilgaon area on Tuesday afternoon.

She succumbed to her injuries around 4:45am at DMCH.
