Sunamganj clash injures 88

SUNAMGANJ: At least 88 people, including women, were injured in a clash centering land disputes in Borokapon village under Chhatok upazila of the district on Wednesday morning.  

Some 28 critically injured were admitted to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital and the rest were rushed to Kaitak Upa-Swasthya Kendra.

Local sources said that there was a long standing clash between Aptai Mia and Baito Ullah of Borokapon village.

In a stage of altercation, two groups locked into a fierce clash at around 9:00am of Wednesday, leaving 88 people from the both the side injured.

Officer-in-Charge of Chhatok Thana Shajalal Munshi told banglanews that the situation is now under control and they appointed additional police to thwart further untoward situation.
