RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY: A student of Rajshahi University was killed in a road accident in front of the main gate of the varsity on Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Sabrina Jahan, 20, a student of Social Welfare department of Rajshahi University.

Witnesses said that an auto rickshaw ran over the victim when she along with her friend Sumi fell on the road after breaking axel of rickshaw carrying them at around 10:00am, leaving her dead on the spot.

Locals rushed them to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

RU proctor professor Dr. Toriqul Hasan said the body would be handed over family members after taken to the campus.

Motihar Thana Officer-in-Charge Abdul Mazid confirmed the matter to banglanews.
