CHIITAGONG: The rail services on Dhaka-Chittagong, Chittagong-Sylhet routes resumed after several hours’ suspension.
Earlier, the train communications of the district disrupted as blockaders uprooted 50-feet rail tracks in Borotakia area under Mirsarai upazila of the district.
No train from other districts was able to enter Chittagong as rail tracks of down line were removed by picketers. Apprehending subversive acts, no train has left the port city though up line remained okay.
The services resumed at around 10:00am after repairing the uprooted rail tracks.
Railway eastern manager Shamsul Alam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
